What to Expect

Undergoing an autism or ADHD assessment can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to make the process as supportive and straightforward as possible. Our comprehensive evaluations are tailored for both teens and adults and include:

  • Initial Consultation – A conversation to understand your concerns, history, and goals.
  • Clinical Interviews – In-depth discussions about developmental history, behavior patterns, and daily functioning.
  • Standardized Testing – Evidence-based tools and questionnaires used to assess neurodivergent traits.
  • Collateral Input – (Optional) Gathering input from family, caregivers, or teachers when appropriate, especially for teens.
  • Feedback Session – A follow-up to review the results, offer clarity, and answer any questions.

We aim to provide a respectful, validating space whether you're seeking answers for the first time or have long suspected you may be neurodivergent.

If You Receive a Diagnosis

A formal diagnosis of autism or ADHD can be life-changing. It can help you:

  • Better understand yourself or your teen
  • Access accommodations (school, workplace, exams)
  • Receive tailored therapeutic support
  • Reduce shame or confusion around past challenges
  • Connect with affirming neurodivergent communities

We’ll guide you through next steps, including individualized therapy options, coaching, support groups, and referrals when needed.

If You Do Not Receive a Diagnosis

Not receiving a diagnosis does not invalidate your experiences. In this case, we’ll help you:

  • Understand what is contributing to your current challenges
  • Explore other mental health factors (e.g., anxiety, trauma, executive functioning)
  • Access support and resources that fit your unique needs
  • Focus on skills-building and self-awareness

Whether or not a formal label is given, our goal is to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Support That Goes Beyond a Label

An assessment is more than a diagnosis—it's a step toward deeper self-understanding. We’re here to walk with you through that journey, with compassion, clarity, and tools for meaningful growth.
